Wood is sound showing wear around the wrist, a few small nicks & scratches and retains about 90% orig finish on the buttstock and about 98% orig varnish on the forearm. Buttplate retains about 90% faded case colors. Bottom tang also retains faded case colors. The barrel is in great condition overall, with very little visible wear it does retain its factory finish, however, it’s starting to fade where the mag tube meets the barrel. You are considering a vintage Winchester Model 90 Barrel it’s chambered for 22 Long Rifle. Top tang retains faded case colors, strong & bright around the hammer slot. Winchester Model 90 Octagonal Barrel 22 Long Rifle. Receiver retains about 98% orig case colors, strong & bright on the left side, over the top and bottom with the right side lightly faded. Bbl & magazine tube retain 98-99% strong orig finish with only faint sharp edge wear and a couple of small nicks. Very few of these early Model 1890 rifles survive today in any condition with those retaining high orig finish extraordinarily rare. Only about 15,000 were produced as first model with solid frames.
